My Week In Books (w/e 4th September 2022) #booklove #bookupdates #MeAndMyBooks

Welcome to another weekly update of books I have read. We have been sorting out the kitchen over the past couple of weeks. We bought new units and yesterday we finally fitted the worktops. We have gone for a nice pine look as it keeps the kitchen bright, and I have also got a lovely slab of polished stone that I can use for baking, resting pans and general use so as not to mark the worktops. Compared to what we had before it is a vast improvement and I also have so much more storage. Just needs a couple of finishing touches. Very pleased with the result. Just got to work out what we are going to do with the flooring.

Here are the before grey units, a mismatch to say the least, and now as it is with the matching units and worktops.

It seems to be that I can only read three books a week and this week is no exception. Yes, the first book has the dreaded “C” word in the title, but it isn’t overly festive as such!

Christmas Miracles at Hedgehog Hollow by Jessica Redland – this is the final book in this series and so it is with a sad heart that I read this book. The author has done an amazing job with this series and indeed this book. It is full of emotion and the full review will be in a couple of weeks as part of the Blog Tour.

The Mensch by Leopold Borstinski – this is also another final book in a series. This time for Jewish gangster Alex Cohen. Another fabulous series that I am sad to see coming to the end of, but one I knew had to. Again this is another Blog Tour book and the full review will be in a couple of weeks.

Dreams Come True at Glendale by Victoria Walters – another book in a series, but not, as far as I am aware, the final one! This is a fabulous story and it sees siblings finally getting the chance to start their dream business in the picturesque sounding Glendale. I usually read books for Blog Tours in order, but I got my books mixed up so the full review for this one won’t be until next month!!!

There we have it, another three books again this week.
I have just started watching a new series and I am adoring it…

All that is left for me to do is wish you all a good week ahead,

All the best

Yvonne xx

Many thanks for reading my post, a like or share would be amazing 🙂 xx

  1. I love the new kitchen cabinets and counter, Yvonne. I am looking forward to reading Jessica Redland’s book. I will also be sad to say good-bye to Hedgehog Hollow.
