How did it become December so quickly! That means it closer to the New Year and I have to remember to write 2020 instead of 2019… I’m sure I am not the only one who struggles remembering not only a month change but also a year change as well 😯😂
I have also updated my banners this ⇊ week, hopefully this will be the only snow we see down here in Cornwall this winter!

November was NaNoWriMo month, and it started off so well for me, but after missing a couple of days with being ill, I completely lost my mojo for writing and only managed a few days on a hit and miss basis for the rest of the month!
November has been an odd month indeed, I have been very lax in sharing my Blog Posts to various Facebook groups. Time just seems to run away from me, maybe this is why the month passed in what felt like 2 weeks! I will try harder in December to get up to speed again and try to get some posts on Instagram as well!
Well, now to the books I have read this week…

Six Steps to Happiness by Suzie Tullett
I had only just started this book last week and what a great book it was! While the story is one about the break-up of a 25 year marriage, it also has some humorous antics. There is an underlying sadness to it but the author has tackled it so that it is not the main theme of the story. A wonderful read that I will be reviewing as part of the blog Tour.

When Stars Will Shine – Helping Our Heroes One Page at a Time – Compiled by Emma Mitchell.
Oh what a week Emma has had! She has worked so hard on battling with Amazon after the book was removed from the site. I am delighted to say that the book is now back up and can be pre-ordered again. If you had the book on pre-order please check your account as you may have to re-order it 😁
This is such a fabulous read and is a collection of short stories that authors have written to help raise funds for our troops. Every story and all the behind the scenes work has been done for the benefit of fundraising. The stories cover a great range of themes and are wonderful reading. I enjoyed every single story and I will say now, I do have a few favourites.
Keep you eye out for my stop on the Blog Tour for this fabulous book, I warn you now it will be a long post as I have written a brief line or two about each story.

The Vagabond King by Jodie Bond
I have just finished this book and I loved it. A fabulous fantasy story that has so many things I like in a fantasy book. This has battles, interfering gods, witches, different races of people and power struggles. A brilliant read that I was reluctant to put down for a moment. Keep an eye out for my post on the Blog Tour.
Now as we are in December, I like to include some books that would make wonderful presents for younger readers. I will be posting these reviews over the next couple of weeks 🙂

Well that is me done for yet another week, so take care and Happy Reading folks 🙂
Yvonne xx
